Spark House SEL Measurement Platform
A CASEL-aligned social-emotional learning measurement tool designed for COMPASS after-school programs. Administer validated youth self-report surveys, track domain-level growth, and export anonymized participant data.
How it works
No hardware, no software installation, no IT department involvement. New sites go live same-day.
Deploy access codes
Each COMPASS site receives a unique access code and survey link. Coordinators distribute it to participants.
Students take the survey
Participants open the link on any device — phones, tablets, Chromebooks. Takes under 3 minutes. Zero PII collected.
View results instantly
Domain-level scores appear in the dashboard in real time. Export anonymized datasets for evaluation vendors.

Industry comparison
Most SEL measurement platforms were built as generic survey tools retrofitted for education. Ours was purpose-built for COMPASS programs from day one.
CASEL SEL Framework
Industry typical
Most platforms claim CASEL alignment but use generic questionnaires
Spark House
Purpose-built 20-item instrument mapped 1:1 to all five CASEL domains with validated Likert scaling
FERPA Compliance
Industry typical
Many platforms collect student emails or require school-managed accounts, creating PII risk
Spark House
Zero PII by design — anonymous access codes only. No student accounts, no emails, no names ever enter the system
WCAG AAA Accessibility
Industry typical
Most ed-tech survey tools meet AA at best, with small text and poor contrast on mobile
Spark House
AAA-compliant contrast ratios, large touch targets, mobile-first responsive design, and screen reader support
Site Deployment Speed
Industry typical
Typical onboarding takes 2–6 weeks with IT coordination, software installs, and training
Spark House
New sites go live in minutes. No hardware, no installs, no IT involvement. Coordinators share a link — done
Data Privacy Architecture
Industry typical
Student data often stored with identifiers, requiring complex DPAs and breach notification plans
Spark House
Anonymized at the point of collection. No re-identification possible. TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest
Privacy & compliance
Our platform was built from the ground up to meet federal student privacy requirements. No personally identifiable information is ever collected, stored, or transmitted.
Zero PII Collection
No student names, emails, IDs, or any personally identifiable information. Surveys accessed via anonymous codes only.
